My Life As Me

What a time to be alive!

Never in my life have I ever felt it such a priviledge and a thrill to experience such a historical moment as tonight!  This is such an EXCITING time!

Obama’s speech has left me speechless.  Much like Hillary’s speech the other night, I again had chills running down my spine.  Obama is a breath of fresh air in this stale world of politics we’ve been forced to live in for the past eight years.  Yes, Obama, eight IS enough!  It’s time for a change and the time is NOW!

I’ve never been big on politics

until the last few years.  And especially this year.  Especially RIGHT NOW.  I’m excited about what is happening.  I’m just excited to know that Bush won’t be the President any longer!

Personally, I was a Hillary supporter.  If she ran again, I would still support her.  I said years ago when she was the First Lady that she would be the first woman President.  I still stand by my words.

I watched the DNC four years ago when Kerry ran.  And I remember seeing Obama speaking at that convention.  My husband said to me, “I wouldn’t be surprised if he ran in 2008.”  Well, here he is…running for President.

Hill’s speech last night sent chills down my spine.  She radiated political power.  My fave line from her:

“It makes sense that George Bush and John McCain will be together next week in the Twin Cities,” Clinton said, referring to next week’s Republican National Convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. “Because these days they’re awfully hard to tell apart.”

So true, Hill.  So true.

I’m not sure I want a guy in office who has a ton of houses but can’t remember how many he has (yet there are thousands of Americans out there LOSING their homes).  This is the same guy who left his first wife when she became disabled and married a BEER heiress.

Part of the President’s job is to help his fellow American citizens.  McCain isn’t ready to help anyone but himself…

So now that the Olympics are over…

let the politics begin!

Actually, I’m greatly looking forward to the DNC in Denver.  It’ll be refreshing to hear some new voices speaking out about joining “AS ONE”.  Tonight I watched part of the Michelle Obama intro (didn’t see her speech).  The intro was very well done and touching.  It really made me see her as a person, who she is and what she stands for.  In my opinion, I think she’d make a great First Lady.

Wish I’d been watching when Kennedy made his speech.  I’ll have to catch it on the news.

The return of Renee…

Filed under: Entertainment — bunchesofos @ 3:42 am

Bella’s was once again graced with the precense of Ms. Renee Z this past Friday.

My mother-in-law was visiting the popular gourmet bistro (as her daughter does own it!) and in walked Renee.  Being a bit star struck, Mom did what anyone would do:  she called her son at work to report the news.

In a whispering tone she told my husband that “Renee was there”.  She later called again to state that Renee had said “hello” to her.

Sorry, folks.  That’s about all I have for this Renee Z report.  Don’t know what she bought or if she picked up any Hungarian Paprika again.  Maybe she tried the gelato this time.  I’m sure once Mom comes down from Cloud 9 we’ll get all the details…:)

But it does seem that Renee has become a fan of Bella’s.  That’s so cool!

Rock stars shouldn’t get political…

Mr. Wonderful remains dumbfounded that the whacko’s on the far right STILL get to screw up what should be a pretty sane world to live in.

I remain dumbfounded that he’s still a wacko….

Manny’s gone….

And I say “adios”–don’t let the door hit you on the way out of Fenway!

While we’re chatting about football…

Let’s mention the Patriots…

And the fact that with the Jets acquring Favre they have released Pennington…hm…Consider the fact that the Pats have two numb nulls for back up quarterbacks (read:  if Tom Brady goes down, we’re fucked).  Consider the fact that Pennington is better than either numb null (and he’s been on Sesame Street)…Consider the fact that although Miami could use a quarterback like Pennington, I’m sure at Pennington’s point in his career he’s looking for a ring more than warm weather in December….what are the chances?  Could be interesting….

He’s going to regret un-retiring…

And to think, by now Favre could be out fishing somewhere on a lake in Mississippi soaking up the sun and basking in his glorious retirement.  Which would be a hell of a lot more fun than getting sacked for the Jets…

Who does this guy think he is anyway?  Michael Jordan?

Aren’t we a little old for this shit?

I could see a 13-year-old creating a site like this, but this is a 40-year-old woman!  C’mon.  How lame is it to be asking others to give you their opinion regarding the group’s hair, what their favorite part in a video was, who their favorite band member is/was.  We went through all of this over 20 years ago!  These guys are practically GRANDFATHERS!  The lead singer is over 50 years old and hardly has any hair left–so who cares if it’s long or short?
