Scenario: you are a homeowner. You experience damage to your home due to an ice storm. Also during the ice storm you lose power for a long period of time. This causes you to purchase a generator and a space heater so you don’t freeze in your home because the electric company that supplies power for your town SUCKS and it will take THREE WEEKS to restore power to your area.
You place a claim with your insurance company. They agree to reimburse you for the generator and the heater. The catch is that they have to take the items from you. Hm…something doesn’t smell right in New Jersey….
