Speaking of Tom…

it appears that he and Gizzy (or “man face”, as Zito likes to call her) got hitched Thursday evening in a somewhat private ceremony.

Hey, whatever floats your boat…as long as you can play football this year, that’s all I care about!

Is there more to come or are the Patriots nuts?

Like all the other Patriots fans out there I would certainly hope the Pats conferred with Tom Brady before making the decision to trade Cassell to Kansas City.  After all, I think it would be wise of them to KNOW FOR SURE that Tom’s leg is just fine and he will be rearing to go come September.

So, let’s see…Vrable and Cassell are gone to KC and we get their 2nd round draft pick?  That’s it?  Or are we going to take all that extra money and load up on free agents (hopefully not aging ones)?  I guess only time will tell.

I’m already getting the feeling this is going to be an interesting football season…

Easy come, easy go

Leave it to the Jets to screw us up again!

I have to give the Pats credit.  They did much better than I expected, considering I figured we were destined for Detroit-land 20 minutes into the season.  11-5 is nothing to be ashamed of, considering all that happened this year.  It’s exciting to think of what they could do next year, with either Brady or Cassell at the helm.

I do hope Brady is well enough to play once again but it would be comforting to know Cassell is still here also.  They are still an exciting team to watch and I feel ashamed for ever doubting Cassell.  Then again, considering the pre-season he had, who can blame me?

And I hope Wes makes all the snow angels he wants in Hawaii–even without the snow!

Now to focus on the C’s…

The latest on Tom’s leg…

Regarding Tom Brady’s injury and numerous surgeries, I think if it is true that the Pats organization is upset with him for being treated on the west coast instead of under the direction of doctors of their choosing in Boston, they should (1) be glad he is being treated and that the infection was caught in time so his leg wouldn’t have to be amputated; and (2) be goddamn grateful for their 6th round 199th overall pick who has provided them with three Super Bowl wins over the past seven years.
